Your Mission: UiPath is building a new way to design and deliver enterprise processes. UiPath cartographer draws on a curated library of industry process knowledge, interviews the business, and produces process maps and design documents. AI coding agents then turn those designs into working, orchestrated solutions, in days rather than months. In insurance, "almost right" isn't good enough. The best AI companies in regulated industries have learned the same lesson: quality comes from making a senior practitioner part of the team to building the benchmarks, evaluations and feedback loops around their experience and judgment. That's this role. As our Principal Expert for insurance, you will own the quality of everything our AI produces for US insurers. You'll set the bar, build the tests that hold the AI to it, and work in the field with customers and partners to make sure what we ship works in a real carrier. This role does not carry a sales quota and is not a product management role. Success is measured by the quality of the insurance solutions we deliver and how confidently customers build on them. Why this role is exciting: Your work sets the standard. What you define as good will be used by insurance customers, partners and AI agents across the platform. You see the impact. Take a process from discovery to a working solution in days, then keep improving it. You're building something new. Help decide which lines of business we go after next and how we measure the success of AI-designed processes. What you'll do at UiPath: Own insurance AI quality Own the quality of insurance process knowledge, designs and solutions across Property & Casualty and Life & Annuity. Decide what needs fixing first, review changes before they go to customers, and sign off when a process is ready. Work with industry experts, partners and reviewers to maintain and improve quality. Build the insurance benchmark Build a library of real insurance use cases covering claims, FNOL and triage, total loss, endorsements, life claims, medical records, disability claims and new business NIGO. Define test cases, scoring criteria and expected answers to evaluate every new AI model and product release before it reaches customers. Turn expert judgment into evaluations Evaluate AI outputs at every stage, from process knowledge and process maps to design documents and working solutions. Work with applied scientists and engineers to make sure automated AI evaluations match expert judgment, so we can scale quality checks without relying on manual reviews for everything. Find failures and make sure they get fixed Review actual outputs, identify common failure types across regulation, coverage, workflows, data and terminology, and prioritise them based on customer impact. Turn recurring failures into reusable test cases and make sure fixes work before they go live. Share clear updates on quality, key issues and progress with leadership, product teams and customers. How you'll work: You'll work in a small, senior team of automation consultants, engineers and applied scientists, working directly with customers. Work with insurance carriers, MGAs and consulting partners to understand how their claims and underwriting teams operate, and test our designs against real processes. Join consultants and engineers on customer deployments and use what you learn to improve our benchmarks and evaluations. Run a regular review cycle, roughly every two weeks, to assess outputs, prioritise fixes and track improvements. Join customer and partner meetings. What you'll bring to the team: Extensive experience (typically 12+ years) in US insurance, ideally starting hands-on in claims and moving into claims operations senior or mid level roles. Deep P&C or Life & Annuity knowledge across the lifecycle Working knowledge of US claims regulation: unfair claims settlement practices, state acknowledgment and payment deadlines, total-loss and salvage rules, and market conduct exams. Experience mapping or redesigning claims or policy servicing operations: queues, handoffs, SLAs, exceptions, fraud referral and QA. The confidence to review complex documents quickly, spot what's plausible but wrong, and explain exactly why. Nice to have: Life & Annuity or disability expertise: contestability, beneficiary determination, unclaimed property, suitability, and underwriting evidence such as medical records. Experience evaluating AI or automation output: writing test cases, rubrics or reference answers, or running QA or validation programs. Experience with insurance AI, claims automation or document intake programs. Comfort with data and light technical work, such as spreadsheets, data analysis or prompting AI tools. Experience leading or calibrating a team of reviewers, auditors or claims QA specialists. Commercial lines, workers' compensation, employee benefits or broker/MGA experience. Maybe you don’t tick all the boxes above—but still think you’d be great for the job? Go ahead, apply anyway. Please. Because we know that experience comes in all shapes and sizes—and passion can’t be learned. Many of our roles allow for flexibility in when and where work gets done. Depending on the needs of the business and the role, the number of hybrid, office-based, and remote workers will vary from team to team. Applications are assessed on a rolling basis and there is no fixed deadline for this requisition. The application window may change depending on the volume of applications received or may close immediately if a qualified candidate is selected. We value a range of diverse backgrounds, experiences and ideas. We pride ourselves on our diversity and inclusive workplace that provides equal opportunities to all persons regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression, national origin, disability, neurodiversity, military and/or veteran status, or any other protected classes. Additionally, UiPath provides reasonable accommodations for candidates on request and respects applicants' privacy rights. To review these and other legal disclosures, visit our privacy policy.

Life at UiPath

The people at UiPath believe in the transformative power of automation to change how the world works. We’re committed to creating category-leading enterprise software that unleashes that power.

To make that happen, we need people who are curious, self-propelled, generous, and genuine. People who love being part of a fast-moving, fast-thinking growth company. And people who care—about each other, about UiPath, and about our larger purpose.

Your Mission:

UiPath is building a new way to design and deliver enterprise processes.

Why this role is exciting:

  • Your work sets the standard. What you define as good will be used by insurance customers, partners and AI agents across the platform.

  • You see the impact. Take a process from discovery to a working solution in days, then keep improving it.

  • You're building something new. Help decide which lines of business we go after next and how we measure the success of AI-designed processes.

What you'll do at UiPath:

Own insurance AI quality

  • Own the quality of insurance process knowledge, designs and solutions across Property & Casualty and Life & Annuity.

  • Decide what needs fixing first, review changes before they go to customers, and sign off when a process is ready.

  • Work with industry experts, partners and reviewers to maintain and improve quality.

Build the insurance benchmark

  • Build a library of real insurance use cases covering claims, FNOL and triage, total loss, endorsements, life claims, medical records, disability claims and new business NIGO.

  • Define test cases, scoring criteria and expected answers to evaluate every new AI model and product release before it reaches customers.

Turn expert judgment into evaluations

  • Evaluate AI outputs at every stage, from process knowledge and process maps to design documents and working solutions.

  • Work with applied scientists and engineers to make sure automated AI evaluations match expert judgment, so we can scale quality checks without relying on manual reviews for everything.

Find failures and make sure they get fixed

  • Review actual outputs, identify common failure types across regulation, coverage, workflows, data and terminology, and prioritise them based on customer impact.

  • Turn recurring failures into reusable test cases and make sure fixes work before they go live.

  • Share clear updates on quality, key issues and progress with leadership, product teams and customers.
