Check jobs where you find them.
Use a browser bookmark to bring a job link here, or read evidence for an already tracked job through the API.
Browser bookmarklet
- Create a bookmark named “Check with CanIBeHired”.
- Copy the code below into the bookmark’s URL field.
- Open a public job posting and click the bookmark. Review your country and submit the check in the new tab.
This sends only the current page URL to CanIBeHired. It does not read your page content or submit an eligibility check automatically. Browser-protected pages and some website security policies may block bookmarklets.

Read-only eligibility API
GET /api/eligibility evaluates an already stored, verified public posting. It never fetches a submitted URL, imports a board, or changes job records. Rate-limit counters are operational metadata.
Take the company and job slugs from a public URL: /jobs/company-slug/job-slug.
- company, job
- Required public URL slugs.
- country
- Required two-letter country code, such as PK, GB or DE.
- sponsorship
- 0 (default) or 1 when employer sponsorship is needed.
GET /api/eligibility?company=company-slug&job=job-slug&country=GB&sponsorship=0A successful JSON response contains version, public job metadata with lastCheckedAt and fresh, the candidate selection, and result: a verdict, blockers, supporting reasons, unknowns, and source evidence. Stale records include a warning; extraction confidence describes evidence extraction, not hiring chances or legal eligibility.
Responses: 400 for invalid or duplicate parameters; 404 for unknown or non-public records; 410 for archived or expired postings; 429 for rate limiting; 503 for unavailable storage. The existing checker limit applies: 12 requests per minute per trusted requester bucket, shared across the API and checker. Self-hosted instances share a bucket unless a trusted proxy is configured. A 429 includes Retry-After: 60.
Responses use Cache-Control: no-store. Call from your server or this origin; cross-origin browser access is not enabled. No API key is required. Evidence reflects the stored posting, not a guarantee that someone may legally work or will be hired.
