Who we are?
Silverfin is a cutting-edge cloud software solution built by accountants, for accountants.
Founded in 2013, Silverfin was created to solve the frustrations of manual, error-prone processes in analysing financial data and compliance. From day one, we’ve been a cloud-first platform with an open API architecture, leveraging structured data to transform how accountants work.
Our mission is simple: to enhance and support the accountancy profession through AI and automation, ensuring accountants remain relevant and respected in the future of finance.
In 2023, Silverfin became part of the Visma Group, joining one of Europe’s leading providers of cloud software. This partnership strengthens our ability to innovate and expand our impact within the accountancy industry.
Today, Silverfin is trusted by over 1000+ firms across 19 countries. Our clients include all of the Big 4 accounting firms, as well as leading global networks like BDO, PKF, Baker Tilly, Grant Thornton, and Moore.
Headquartered in Ghent, with offices in London, Luxembourg, Gouda (NL), and a 2nd office in South of Belgium (Mont-Saint-Guibert), we’re a team of over 200 people - including a diverse remote engineering team working across multiple time zones - all working together to drive innovation in accounting.
How would you support our success?
Do you excel in and build strategic relationships at the C-suite level? Silverfin is seeking a high-performing Account Executive to drive our efforts in selling directly to the financial departments of large enterprises in Belgium.
As an Account Executive, you will play a critical role in our growth, focusing on establishing Silverfin as the go-to solution for financial leaders. You will be responsible for driving the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to securing the deal, within the complex landscape of large enterprises. You will navigate corporate structures and multi-stakeholder sales processes, establishing relationships with CFOs, CIOs, and critical C-suite leaders to drive alignment throughout complex strategic buying journeys.
While our reputation is already well-established among accountancy firms, this role is pivotal in expanding Silverfin’s reach into enterprise financial departments, ensuring alignment with their needs and creating long-term strategic partnerships. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of enterprise challenges, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a consultative sales approach.
We’re looking for someone self-motivated, strategic, and team-oriented. A professional who is comfortable managing complex sales environments and knows how to connect effectively with senior decision-makers.
Your responsibilities
Full-cycle sales ownership: Manage the entire sales cycle end-to-end, from prospecting and initial organisation mapping to securing the deal.
C-suite engagement: Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buyer journeys, building relationships directly with financial leaders (such as CFOs and CIOs).
Consultative solution selling: Conduct deep-dive needs analyses to understand complex challenges within finance departments, tailoring proposals around high-stakes issues like compliance.
Educational engagement & brand ambassadorship: Lead tailored workshops, presentations, or webinars to educate prospects, and represent Silverfin at industry events to position yourself as a trusted advisor.
Internal collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Revopps, and Customer Success to ensure a cohesive market approach and seamless client onboarding.
What would success look like?
Market expansion: Successfully expand Silverfin's footprint in this fresh market segment by developing large target companies into long-term partners.
Pipeline growth: Building and maintaining a healthy, high-value sales pipeline through strategic stakeholder mapping and consistent outreach.
Revenue impact: Achieving individual revenue targets by securing new, high-value business.
What will support your success?
Experience and QualificationsB2B sales experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Development or Account Executive roles, with a proven track record of bringing in new clients in the SaaS or technology sector.
Complex deal management: Practical experience navigating sales processes that involve stakeholder alignment and consensus-building across multiple decision-makers. Particularly with C-suite executives.
Financial & industry acumen: The ability to grasp the operational challenges of modern finance departments and translate Silverfin's strategic value clearly.
Modern sales methodologies: Familiarity with consultative selling, organisational mapping, and leveraging modern CRM systems to manage a clean sales pipeline.
Language skills: Fluent and professional use of Dutch and English (both written and spoken).
Segment-builder mindset: the drive and dedication to develop a new market from the ground up.
Empathy & active listening: A high degree of empathy to truly understand a prospect's pain points and build alignment across different internal teams.
Adaptability: Comfort operating with a hands-on scale-up mindset, staying agile as the segment grows and evolves.
Commitment & collaboration: A personal dedication to delivering quality outcomes, taking pride in your responsibilities, and working with care to ensure both personal and team success.
