Scale’s rapidly growing Global Public Sector team is focused on using AI to address critical challenges facing the public sector around the world. Our core work consists of:
- Creating custom AI applications that will impact millions of citizens
- Generating high-quality training data for national LLMs
- Upskilling and advisory services to spread the impact of AI
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and experienced product leader to play a pivotal role in the ideation and development of transformative AI solutions for government and government-backed customers across the Middle East. The ideal candidate has deep experience building AI/ML applications, thinks strategically about how to solve a problem, is an excellent listener, is comfortable getting into the weeds, and has a strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices. You will own large AI projects end to end, working directly with customers and leading a cross-functional team of engineers, MLEs, and operators to deliver solutions that drive meaningful impact for our customers and significant revenue for our business.
You will:
- Lead design workshops with clients to define custom AI solutions
- Scope new AI application use cases across government entities, and turn them into a clear roadmap, phasing, and success metrics
- Build MVPs and demos to validate ideas quickly, and take the best of them to production
- Lead cross-functional development with diverse stakeholders (Engineering, MLE, Operations, and Go-to-Market)
- Engage consistently with end users to gather feedback and ensure we are prioritizing effectively
- Scope model evaluation sets and performance requirements, review results, and iterate on the solution
- Stay up to date with the latest research in applied AI and training custom LLMs
- Give regular progress updates to the client and Global Public Sector leadership
Ideally, you’d have:
- 4+ years of experience building products, including 1–2+ years building AI-powered products in production
- Strong technical background (STEM degree) and/or experience building technical software products
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and applied AI, and a strong understanding of generative AI in enterprise settings
- Sharp product sense and customer instinct: the conviction to take a position and defend it, and the judgment to change it when the evidence says so
- Comfort with client-facing work and the pace and ambiguity of a forward-deployed team
- Experience with vibe coding tools (e.g., Replit, Lovable, Bolt) and design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva, Miro)
- Exceptional leadership, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
Nice to haves:
- Proficiency in Arabic, both written and spoken
- Coding experience (Python)
- Prior experience as a founder, founding engineer, or forward-deployed PM
- Experience working with government or GCC customers
PLEASE NOTE: Our policy requires a 90-day waiting period before reconsidering candidates for the same role. This allows us to ensure a fair and thorough evaluation of all applicants.
