Fraud Prevention Specialist

About us

Traditional banking has never really given you control over your financial life. Satispay exists to change that: to empower people through finance. That means making financial services easy and accessible for over 6.5M users. We started with payments, then benefits, investing, cards... and we’re not done. Not even close. We follow the same logic every time: find a real problem, solve it properly, then look for the next one. The destination? To build the most loved financial platform in the world. If you own outcomes rather than tasks, stay close to what users need, and refuse to wait for someone else to fix what's broken — you'll find people here who work exactly in the same way. And together, you'll build something worth being proud of.

What you'll be doing

As our Fraud Prevention Specialist, you'll protect Satispay’s users and assets by mastering fraud detection and prevention across Cards, SEPA Direct Debit (SDD), and other payment schemes, keeping financial and reputational losses to a minimum while preserving a seamless user experience. Here's what that looks like in practice:

  • Emerging Threat & Trend Identification - Analyse transactional behaviours, velocity patterns, and scheme returns (SDD R-transactions, card chargebacks) to proactively uncover new attack vectors and vulnerabilities.

  • Negative Balance & Debt Recovery Management - Manage the operational lifecycle of negative balances resulting from fraud or return flows, executing structured collection processes and recovering value for the business.

  • UX & Friction Calibration - Partner with Product teams to ensure fraud controls and step-up authentication methods strike the right balance between risk mitigation and a smooth user journey.

  • Incident Escalation & Forensic Triage - Conduct deep-dive triage on complex card/SDD fraud schemes and escalate critical vectors or systematic exploits for rapid remediation.

Who we're looking for

This role needs someone operationally sharp and data-minded who understands digital payment mechanics and brings high vigilance to protecting customer accounts and assets.

  • Experience - 2 to 4 years in fraud operations or transaction monitoring within fintech, digital banking, or payment processing ecosystems.

  • Payment Scheme Expertise - Solid understanding of payment mechanics, specifically Card processing flows, SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) return cycles, and velocity/pattern monitoring techniques.

  • Core Mindset - High resilience under alert volumes, strong attention to detail, sound ethical judgment, and a proactive attitude toward investigating emerging attack vectors.
