About Remarcable
Remarcable is the intelligent procurement and material operations platform transforming how trade contractors (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and supply distributors work together. Processing over $1B in monthly purchase volume, our platform bridges field operations, back offices, and distribution networks.
We connect mission-critical workflows through real-time data synchronization, digital visual catalogs, side-by-side distributor pricing, automated purchase order workflows, AI-powered invoice discrepancy detection, and 180+ supplier and ERP integrations.
As a high-growth Series A SaaS company, we build practical, high-leverage software that modernizes one of North America's largest and most foundational industries.
The Opportunity
We are expanding our Vancouver engineering team—our core product and development hub—and looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to take technical ownership of high-impact product initiatives.
In this role, you will operate with significant autonomy and direct influence. You won’t get lost in corporate red tape: you will architect scalable services, ship end-to-end features, collaborate closely with product and customer-facing teams, and help shape the long-term architectural trajectory of our platform.
What You’ll Do
End-to-End Feature Delivery: Architect, build, and deploy robust features across Python/Django backends, modern frontend frameworks (Angular/React), and relational databases.
System Architecture & Scalability: Design modular, high-throughput backend services and clean RESTful APIs capable of handling complex pricing engines, high-volume procurement transactions, and live catalog syncs.
Production Reliability & Code Quality: Troubleshoot complex runtime issues in live production environments, champion automated testing, and lead thoughtful peer code reviews to maintain high security, architectural, and quality standards.
AI-Accelerated Workflows: Leverage modern development tools (such as Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery, write comprehensive tests, and debug complex codebases while maintaining rigorous engineering standards.
Database & Query Performance: Model normalized relational schemas (PostgreSQL), write complex queries, optimize indexes, and eliminate ORM performance bottlenecks and edge-case race conditions.
Integrations & Pipelines: Build and maintain resilient integration pipelines handling third-party REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, asynchronous queues (Celery/Redis), email ingestion, and document/OCR workflows.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Guide architectural decisions, author clear system documentation, and mentor intermediate engineers across the team.
Who You Are
Experience: 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building and scaling production web applications in a SaaS or fast-paced startup environment.
Backend Proficiency: Deep expertise in backend systems design, scalable architecture, and robust API development. While Python and Django form our core stack, we value strong engineering fundamentals and welcome deep experience across equivalent backend ecosystems.
Frontend Capabilities: Proven experience working with modern frontend frameworks (specifically Angular, React, or Vue), state management, component architecture, and seamless API integrations.
Database Depth: Strong working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL), including schema design, query optimization, indexing strategies, and debugging slow ORM queries.
Product Ownership & Scrappiness: Exceptionally resourceful, pragmatic, and proactive in driving product initiatives from concept to production, solving ambiguous startup challenges, and diagnosing complex bottlenecks.
Product Experience & Mindset: Strong product intuition with a customer-centric approach to software development, clear cross-functional communication, and a passion for rapidly shipping high-value SaaS experiences.
Location & Presence: Based in Greater Vancouver (or willing to relocate) and eager to collaborate in person 4 days per week out of our downtown Vancouver office.
Nice to Have
Experience building or maintaining integrations with enterprise ERP systems, EDI workflows, or custom webhook architectures.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and modern cloud infrastructure/CI/CD pipelines (AWS, Azure, Terraform).
Familiarity with OCR data extraction, document parsing, or applied LLM/AI workflows in production.
Prior experience in supply chain, construction technology (ConTech), or procurement platforms.
What We Offer
Competitive Total Compensation: Attractive base salary plus performance-based incentives.
Comprehensive Health & Wellness benefits
Retirement Savings: Company-supported retirement savings plan to help you plan for the future.
Professional Growth: Dedicated annual professional development budget for courses, conferences, and certifications.
Office & Culture: Collaborative downtown Vancouver workspace (steps from Waterfront Station), and regular team social events.
Why Join Remarcable?
We’re a Series A SaaS company backed by Insight Partners, scaling fast with a mission to transform construction operations. Our platform has already processed billions in material purchases, and we’re just getting started.
At Remarcable, you’ll:

Be part of a small, high-ownership team where your ideas move fast.
Work in a mission-driven company tackling inefficiency in one of the world’s largest industries.
Our Mission
To advance the adoption of technology in the construction industry and bring better efficiency, visibility, and communication to our customers.
