Account Manager | Nox Metals | Detroit, MI or Los Angeles, CA
About Nox Metals. American factories deserve a supply chain that moves as fast as they do. Nox Metals is building it, along with the tools that run it. We’re a technology company with operations in Metro Detroit and Los Angeles, supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.
The role. We’re hiring Account Managers to win and grow aerospace, defense, and industrial accounts. You will learn how customers buy and use aluminum, earn access to the right decision makers, and make Nox Metals the supplier they call when speed and reliability matter.
This is consultative, field-based selling. You will prospect consistently, visit factories, understand applications and purchasing constraints, and stay accountable after the order is won.
You will:
· Build and manage a territory plan focused on high-potential accounts
· Prospect through calls, email, referrals, events, and in-person visits
· Meet buyers, engineers, owners, and operations leaders to understand their needs
· Develop opportunities from first conversation through quote, negotiation, and close
· Learn our material, processing, service, and delivery capabilities deeply
· Coordinate with inside sales, pricing, supply chain, and operations on customer commitments
· Maintain accurate account, activity, forecast, and opportunity data
· Grow existing accounts through responsiveness, follow-through, and useful ideas
· Surface market intelligence about customer demand, competitors, and service gaps
· Own problems through resolution when the customer experience falls short
You are:
· Persistent, competitive, and comfortable creating opportunity from a cold start
· Curious enough to understand a customer’s business before pitching
· Credible in a factory, machine shop, or technical purchasing conversation
· Organized about follow-up and honest about the state of your pipeline
· A strong listener and clear communicator
· Comfortable traveling locally and regionally to meet customers
· Motivated by building durable accounts, not just closing isolated orders
· Accountable when a commitment crosses into another team
Nice to have:
· Experience selling metals, manufacturing services, industrial products, logistics, or B2B technology
· Existing relationships in aerospace, defense, machining, fabrication, or procurement
· Familiarity with aluminum alloys, forms, tolerances, or material certifications
· Experience opening a new territory or building a book of business
· Comfort using CRM, data, and AI tools to improve prospecting and account preparation
Benefits:
· Equity in Nox Metals
· Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance
This role is full time and in person, based in either Los Angeles or Detroit, with regular customer travel.

We hire based on skill, attitude, and fit for the work, and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, height, weight, marital status, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local law.
