At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.
Lyft connects people to transportation to change the way we live and get around our communities. We are looking for product managers who bring exceptional creative and analytical skills to drive forward a best in class product. Product management at Lyft leads the integration of engineering, data science, and design to achieve the company's vision for reinventing transportation. We are looking for entrepreneurial and passionate Product Managers to innovate and execute across a rapidly growing, fast paced company and industry from our San Francisco and New York offices.
Trust and Safety is at the core of Lyft’s business. Our work ensures that our drivers and riders are part of a trusted and trusting community. Lyft’s global expansion and the development of a hybrid platform (with autonomous vehicles driving side by side to drivers) are a unique opportunity to help us redefine how we deliver in our promise of safety. This is a highly cross functional role that will partner with our Growth organization to rethink how we support these partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build the future of the platform that supports Safety in our journey for global expansion, setting up an ambitious vision and roadmap that motivates and inspires your team, peers, and leadership, and that accounts for the uniqueness of our partners and community members.
- Partner directly with engineering, data science, ML, design, and research teams to develop safety solutions uniquely tailored to each of our partners while maintaining a core platform that allows for speed of execution and maintainability.
- Partner with Policy and Support teams to develop solutions that provide a cohesive experience to Drivers and Riders whenever they encounter issues when using Lyft.
- Represent Trust and Safety as the SME in all our ongoing and new partnerships, ensuring that all new requirements are captured and well understood by the team.
- Ability to conceptualize, manage and prioritize multiple projects for stakeholders
- Define success metrics and drive data-informed decisions to ensure optimal prioritization
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with experience in Trust and Safety roles.
- Deep technical acumen, with experience delivering platform solutions that accelerate integrations with third parties. Engineering or Computer Science Degree strongly preferred.
- Experience leading a team of engineers and setting clear goals, strategies, and long term roadmaps.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you shape solutions as much as implement them.
- Demonstrated impact working with internal and external partners, across cultures and working styles.
- Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level: within teams, with partner teams, and to executive leadership.
- Detail oriented with superior organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you.
Benefits:
- Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options with additional programs available when enrolled
- Mental health benefits
- Family building benefits
- Child care and pet benefits
- 401(k) plan with company match to help save for your future
- In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have discretionary paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off
- 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible
- Subsidized commuter benefits
- Monthly Lyft credits and complimentary Lyft Pink membership
