ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a BI Engineer to join our Business Intelligence Engineering team at LeoVegas Group. You’ll work across the full BI stack, from modelling data in BigQuery to building the dashboards senior leaders use to run a multi-brand, multi-jurisdiction iGaming business. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership. We treat our reporting as data products, built to scale and to last, and we’re moving our BI platform to Sigma, so you’ll help shape how we build on it from early on. If you enjoy writing clean SQL, solving messy data problems, and seeing your work shape decisions across the business, we’d love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO Design, build, and maintain scalable presentation-layer datasets using SQL, dbt, Python, Airflow, and BigQuery on GCP. Choose the right materialisation strategies and follow CI/CD practices to keep our models reliable, performant, and cost-efficient. Design and maintain a semantic layer with governed, consistent metric definitions that power both dashboards and AI-driven self-service, so stakeholders can ask questions of the data in natural language and trust the answers. Build interactive dashboards in Sigma, our strategic BI platform, while supporting existing Tableau reporting during the transition, working alongside Business Analysts and applying data storytelling principles that encourage self-service analytics. Apply a data product mindset to everything you deliver, building reporting that is reusable, well-documented, and designed for long-term impact. Partner with our Data Engineering team on upstream pipeline changes, investigate data issues through root-cause analysis, and help improve the platform we build on. Work directly with stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, Compliance, Operations, Payments, Data Science, Marketing, and Product to understand their needs and translate them into well-designed data solutions. Help harmonise KPIs and metric definitions across brands and BI platforms. Champion data quality, documentation, and consistent metric definitions so people can trust what they see. Keep learning, and share useful tools, techniques, and ideas with the team. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Essential: 2-5 years of experience in a BI Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or similar role. Advanced SQL, with a solid grasp of data modelling concepts (for example, dimensional modelling). Hands-on experience with at least one modern BI tool, ideally Sigma or Tableau. The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues and senior management. Clear, concise written documentation that others can actually use. A structured, curious approach to problem-solving and debugging data issues. Nice to have: Experience in the iGaming industry (Sportsbook and/or Casino). Python, Airflow, and dbt. Experience with BigQuery or another cloud data warehouse, and with GCP more broadly. Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows. Exposure to Sigma WHO WE ARE At the core of LeoVegas Group is Team Leo.
