About Us
Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world’s best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar.
Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes.
2,100+ customers across 80+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We’ve scaled to $200M+ in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI, Graceview, Cadastral, and Wexler.
We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law.
Joining Legora means three things.
We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions.
We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback.
We grow together: as a team and with our customers.
Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts.
If you’re driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place.
Legal Engineer ( Banking & Financial Services)
We are seeking a Legal Engineer with deep in-house experience at a bank or financial institution to help financial services legal teams transform how they deliver legal work. Your time inside a corporate legal function (4+ years PQE, ideally with a grounding in a top law firm) will allow you to:
Act as a trusted advisor for in-house legal teams at banks, insurers, asset managers and other financial institutions, identifying pain points and uncovering high-value opportunities for process innovation across the full legal workflow, from ISDA, loan and facility documentation, and commercial contract review through to regulatory compliance, regulatory change management, matter management and internal knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with General Counsel, legal ops, compliance and in-house lawyers to design and implement tailored solutions on the Legora platform, addressing challenges specific to financial services such as high-volume documentation, remediation and repapering projects, regulatory deadlines, and demands from front-office and business stakeholders with limited legal resource.
Share insights from your in-house financial services experience to directly shape product development, technical enhancements and roadmap priorities, so our offerings meet the real-world needs of regulated legal departments, including requirements around security, confidentiality, auditability and model risk.
Deliver engaging product demos and training sessions, showing how technology can streamline drafting, playbook-based review, regulatory analysis, risk assessment and reporting to the business and to senior stakeholders.
Drive change management by helping legal teams understand the ROI and competitive edge that AI brings to in-house legal in a regulated environment, including improvements in efficiency, accuracy, cost control, risk management and strategic decision-making.
About you
4+ years PQE, with a strong, hands-on in-house background within a bank or other regulated financial services business (a superannuation fund would also be a great fit)
Working knowledge of financial services legal work, such as derivatives and trading documentation, lending and finance, regulatory and compliance matters, or financial services commercial contracts
Ideally trained or practised at a top law firm
A passion for leveraging technology to transform legal services
