Your roleYou shape how fonio feels to use for thousands of businesses. You own core areas of our product end-to-end: from talking to customers, to designing the flow, to shipping it with our engineers.
You're a hands-on designer with high craft and a lot of autonomy. You don't wait for perfect specs. You find the problem, design the solution and move fast.
What to expectOwn the design of core product areas end-to-end, in close collaboration with Product Engineering and our founders
Talk to customers regularly and turn insights into design decisions
Turn complex functionality into simple and easy to use experiences
Shape and scale our product design system
Prototype fast with AI tools (Cursor, v0, Claude and others) to get from idea to testable flow in hours, not weeks
Use analytics to measure what works, and iterate
At least 5 years of experience in product design, ideally in a small, fast-moving product team (portfolio required)
Exceptional design craft: interaction detail, hierarchy, typography and motion
High autonomy: you take ownership without needing much structure
Experience with design systems and shipping features end-to-end
Product and analytics thinking: you don't design from your gut, you measure
AI-first mindset
Fluent English (any additional language is a plus, especially German (DACH is our most important market)
Competitive salary: €65,000–€90,000
