At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most.
About the People Team:
The People team helps Affirmers cultivate a high-performing, inclusive organization. We focus on three core areas: attracting talent aligned to our mission, enabling growth through people and team development, and retaining employees through thoughtful experiences and rewards. We develop Affirm’s people programs and systems to create a workplace where all employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully. By investing in our people, we create a long-term advantage for the business.
About the Role:
As Senior Manager, Technical Recruiting, you’ll lead recruiting across EMEA, guiding a high-performing team that helps Affirm attract exceptional Engineering talent and scale internationally. Your work will strengthen our global hiring strategy and enable the teams advancing Affirm’s mission.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters by setting clear expectations, providing thoughtful feedback, and fostering a high-performing, inclusive team culture
- Own the recruiting strategy for EMEA, aligning regional hiring plans with business priorities and building the capabilities needed to support Affirm's continued international growth
- Partner with Technical and cross-functional leaders to translate hiring plans into scalable hiring strategies across teams and geographies
- Influence Director and VP-level stakeholders through recruiting data, market insights, and strategic guidance to inform hiring decisions, build alignment, and proactively mitigate talent risks
- Use recruiting analytics to identify trends, improve funnel performance, forecast hiring risks, and drive continuous improvement across the hiring process
- Collaborate closely with Talent Brand, Talent Operations, Compensation, and other People teams to deliver a seamless, consistent hiring experience
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders through transparent communication, thoughtful partnership, and proactive talent advice
- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve recruiting processes to increase efficiency, scalability, and the candidate experience
What We Look For:
- 10+ years of experience leading full-cycle technical recruiting, with a track record of hiring for engineering and other technical roles at scale
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing recruiting teams.
- Deep knowledge of the EMEA talent market, with experience hiring in the UK, Poland, and Spain preferred
- Experience developing and executing hiring strategies in new or emerging markets where recruiting infrastructure and talent networks are still being established
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, advise, and build trusted partnerships with senior leaders
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using recruiting data and market insights to shape hiring strategies and influence business decisions
- Proven ability to lead recruiting teams through organizational growth and change while maintaining high performance and delivering hiring results
Total Rewards:
We believe the people building honest financial products at Affirm should share in its success. That's why our total rewards are designed to support your health, growth, financial well-being, and future. In service of our mission, we reward employees through a combination of base pay, equity (from parent company), and comprehensive benefits. Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range.
Poland:
Pay Grade - N
Equity Grade - 5
PLN base pay range per year: 308,000 zł - 408,000 zł
Base pay ranges and placement within those ranges are determined based on several factors, including role, experience, and job-related skills. In addition to base pay, all employees in this role are eligible to receive equity from the parent company each year. This means as Affirm’s parent company grows, employees have the opportunity to share in that growth financially.
