Adaptyv is building an automated lab that lets AI agents run biology experiments. We're entering the era of agentic science where AI models can now design novel proteins, propose hypotheses, and iterate on experimental results. But they can't run the experiments themselves - that's still a manual, months-long process. We're building the infrastructure that gives AI agents access to the physical world. We are one of the fastest growing biotech companies, trusted by leading biopharmas, frontier AI labs, and the techbio companies pushing the field forward. This is a rare chance to help advance some of the most important work happening in biotech today.

Our automated lab is powered by a deep software + hardware stack: lab instruments worth millions of USD reverse-engineered into API-controllable hardware, dozens of devices orchestrated through complex workflows, full observability on everything that happens in the lab, processing pipelines for messy physical-world data, and AI systems that troubleshoot production results and accelerate assay development. We’re growing rapidly and are hiring for talented people to scale and support the massive demand for AI-driven wet lab experimentation. About the Role Our lab in Lausanne runs thousands of constructs a week through automated workcells, liquid handlers, and binding instruments. That only works if the instruments are calibrated, the buffers are made, the stock is where the system says it is, and the bench is ready when the scientists arrive. You are the person who makes sure it is. You'll own the day-to-day upkeep of our automation and instruments, run buffer and reagent production, keep the lab clean, safe, and stocked, and lead the rollout of new inventory management and lab operations processes across the lab. This is a hands-on, in-the-lab role, working closely with our Lab Manager, the Lab Operations team, and the scientists whose experiments depend on you getting it right. What You'll Do Run daily and weekly calibration of our Hamilton liquid handling systems. Calibrate and maintain key instruments, including the Echo and pH meters. Look after the SPR system: buffer bottle changes, rinsing, and routine upkeep. Take ownership of our automated workcells and keep them clean, organized, and calibrated. Prepare buffers, reagents, and reaction mixes according to established SOPs. Run weekly buffer production and handle ad-hoc requests from the team. Lead the rollout of new inventory management and lab operations processes across the lab, and help design and improve them as the lab scales. Organize fridges and storage, run inventory, and keep consumables, glassware, and bench supplies stocked so experiments never stall. Keep benches and shared spaces clean, clear, and ready for work every day. Manage hazardous and biohazardous waste disposal (including broken glass and sharps), waste sorting, recycling, and general waste removal in line with safety regulations. Run the lab dishwasher and make sure clean glassware is always available. Plan and document scheduled deep cleans and preventive maintenance. What We're Looking For Laboratory apprenticeship (CFC Laborant/in), BSc in a relevant field, or an equivalent lab technician qualification. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Precision in following and executing protocols and SOPs. A service mindset. You enjoy making other people's work easier. Comfortable with routine, with an eye for ways to improve it. Calm and reliable in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment. Experience with lab automation or liquid handling systems (Hamilton, Echo, or similar) is a plus. Experience with inventory or LIMS tools is a plus. Proficiency in English and French is a plus. Many of our vendors and delivery services operate in French.
